This week, Nintendo and Illumination Entertainment have launched a handful of brand-new posters for The Super Mario Bros. On the poster, Peach can be seen wearing the racing suit that debuted in Mario Kart 8. Donkey Kong and Cranky Kong aren’t present, however we can see a number of other apes racing behind the princess.
It will be interesting to see if there’s a narrative reason for the Kong’s chasing after Princess Peach! In the movie’s 2nd trailer, a number of Kong scan be seen in the audience when Mario deals with off with DK. The poster would seem to suggest that the Kong’s are after Peach, or she could be leading them in the fight versus Bowler. The roles of Donkey Kong and Cranky Kong have actually been kept under covers so far, but DK and Mario started as enemies in the initial Donkey Kong arcade game.
